“Berg” is the Scandinavian and German word for mountain, and the name is no accident. The name reflects the landscapes we seek out and the way we build — with the modesty of Scandinavian timber craft and a deep respect for what was built before us. We were born on the Idaho side of the Teton Range, the long-overlooked “back” side of one of the most iconic mountain landscapes in the world. From this vantage point, we built a firm that deliberately seeks out the opportunities others pass over — the complex, the difficult, and the transformative.
